If you don’t talk to your customers, how will you know how to talk to your customers?

The first aspect of my process was to start with research. We needed to validate this enhancement was something the users would actually benefit from and not just simply be a “nice to have”. We also did some discovery research along the way for the overall platform to gauge if there were other areas we could improve upon.

We did research with about 15 participants after we validated the demand by sending out online surveys. The research was done in one on one remote sessions where I had them view the existing platform to gather some insights on usability. Then I had them go through a wireframe prototype I had created so they could get an idea of the direction we were going in.

Design 1

This was the first high fidelity comp we showed the clients to get their preference. All design decisions were restricted to brand guidelines and dev library components.

Design 2

This was the second high fidelity comp we showed the clients to get their preference. All design decisions were restricted to brand guidelines and dev library components.

Design 3

This was the third high fidelity comp we showed the clients to get their preference. All design decisions were restricted to brand guidelines and dev library components.

If a picture is worth 1000 words, a prototype is worth 1000 meetings.

Finalizing the Design

We decided which design concept to go with based on user feedback and what made the most sense internally.

Switching Gears & Coding

At this point I did a little HTML & CSS to ensure the design styles in certain areas where exact. I then supported the development team from a design standpoint until the project was fully implemented into the platform.
